The guys at Sunday Stealing go about the blogosphere finding memes to steal from other blogs. I like to participate so here we go!
1. It's 2AM and you are not home. You are more than likely: At the pediatric emergency room for someone with a high fever. I'm **always** home at 2am. I like sleep too much to miss out on it.
2. What's the last thing you spent more than $100 on? Cumulative? If so, groceries last night at Wal-Mart. Otherwise, it'd be the registration fees for my boys to attend school.
3. What do your bank checks look like? I used to get the cute ones... I've had Mickey. I've had baby farm animals. I've had patriotic. Now, they're just the cheap, old, plain Jane ones the bank gives you a discount for buying.
4. Where did the shirt you are currently wearing come from? Dillards in Colorado Springs. Specifically, the men's clearance rack in the Ralph Lauren section (it's a Polo t-shirt.)
5. Name something that will be on your Christmas wish list: Cricut cartridges are really the only thing that comes to mind other than an iPod. I have a Zune but it isnt compatible with my car so I hope to get one soon.
6. What color is your toothbrush? What if I have more than one? Seriously, though, the one I use most often is white and teal.
7. Name something you collect and tell us about it. I'm in a great purge mode right now so collections are something that are being broken apart and purged. In the past I've collected Boyd Bears. These are little resin bear sculptures that are absolutely adorable but serve no real purpose other than to collect dust. I collect scrapbook supplies but they make it into my scrapbooks eventually so that's not a collection rather just a group of supplies. :) (Dontcha just love how I can rationalize the heck out of that one?) I used to collect crystal and I have about half my collection now in a pile to be donated/sold/purged. I collect Fiestaware dishes but they're used for our everyday dining so I don't really see that it's a collection. I guess I associate collections with things that are just displayed and not really useful.
8. Last restaurant you ate at. Who were you with? How was it? I ate at La Madeleine with my dear friend Leigh (Benjamin was there too). It was absolutely fantastic! Their chicken friand is to DIE FOR! I adore their petite Caesar salad as well. Their croutons are the bomb!
9. Who was the last person you bought a birthday card for? I have absolutely no idea. My son just turned 11 and I didn't even buy him one (Andy did).
10. What is your worst bad habit? You know, I don't really have any "bad" habits. I don't drink. I don't smoke. I don't bite my nails. I don't never use double negatives (ha). I don't have the typical habits associated with the term "bad." hmmmm...let me think on it and I'll get back with you. Oh wait, I got it! PROCRASTINATION! That's my WORST bad habit!
11. Name a magazine you subscribe to? Family Circle and Family Fun. I love those!
12. Your favorite pizza toppings? BBQ chicken pizza with spinach
13. Whose number were you looking up the last time you used a phone book? There are no phone books in this home. We use this thing called the Internet. Perhap you've heard of it.
14. Other than family, who is the person that you love most? Wow... hmm.... I have a few dear friends that are so much LIKE family.... Christie and Laurie both come to mind.
15. What is the last thing you cooked? Breaded chicken breast sandwiches
16. Name something you wouldn't want to buy used? Underwear -- ewwwww!!! I also am now COMPLETELY creeped out at the thought of ever buying anything used in this house used after one of my FAVORITE bloggers wound up with a severe case of BED BUGS in her home after she rescued something to restore. It was over a $2K mistake. UGH! I can't imagine!
17. Which shoe do you put on first? Whichever is in my hand.
18. What is the last thing you remember losing? Benjamin's binkie
19. What is the ugliest piece of furniture in your house? It would have to be ... the breakfast nook table/chairs. In fairness, however, it belonged to Andy's GRANDPARENTS so it's like a million years old. It's not real wood and there are a couple of chairs that are barely keeping together. I have my eye on a 60" square table with some woven seat farm chairs and a bench on one side. :)
20. Last thing you bought and ended up returning? Shoes. They were too small. Mail order. Bugger!
21. What perfume/cologne do you wear? If none, why? I prefer to wear Escada Collection. However, you can't find it anymore. They ceased production of it for some stupid reason, I;m sure. It's a horrible thing to know your signature scent is now on the black marker (a.k.a. e-bay) for more than double its cost. That's happened to my last two favorite perfumes. Regardless, at the current time I wear nothing because...well... I have a little person attached to me and I don't think it's cool to have a girly smellin little offspring.
22. Your favorite board game? Monopoly, Sorry, Trivial Pursuit... I love games!!
23. What was the last board game you played? Candyland. Watch out people, I play a MEAN game of Candyland! Whoa doggie!
24. Where did your vehicle come from? Arkansas (it was at a dealership up there) and they had to bring it down to the dealership here.
25. If a movie was made about your life what would the theme song be? Living La Vida Loca
26. You're sad, who can cheer you up easily? Drew always has an amazing way of cheering me up.
27. What was the color of the bridesmaid dresses of the last wedding you went to? I can't even REMEMBER the last wedding I went to. LOL. That means it's been a while (THANK GOD!) Weddings are so boring.
28. What house cleaning chore do you hate to do the most? I hate to dust. I hate having to remove all the knick knacks and replace them "just so" repeatedly. It's annoying.
29. What is your favorite way to eat chicken? Probably grilled since it's the healthiest for you but... dang, man, I'm a Southerner. We love our chicken FRIED and covered in gravy!
30. It is your birthday. You hope the cake is? Moist, white and covered with decadent butter cream frosting that has a hint of almond extract added.
Hey April, thanks for stopping by! Oh Candyland, I used to love that game as a kid!
