Five Question Friday

Rules for Five Question Friday: Copy and paste the following questions to your blog post, answer them, then link up to My Little Life (below)!

1. If you could go back to college would you change your major? Or, if you were to go to college right now...what major would you choose? I would continue pursuing the whole pre-law thing. However, I feel that my energies and resources are best utilized at the present time on my family. I will never stop learning, however.

2. What do you love most about your home? I love that it's filled with boys and their laughter. As far as physical aspects of my home. I love the exterior brick and rock facade. I love my kitchen... I mean...loooooooove my kitchen. It has GOBS of cabinets, an island, gas range... it's wonderful.

3. What types of books do you like to read (if you like to read at all)? I like to read all kinds of books. I read anything from the classics, humor, self-help, detective stories (fiction) ... not much non-fiction. It takes a special writer to be able to make history palatable to me.

4. What is the grossest thing you've ever eaten? Andy and I went out to the Gaylord Texan's Old Hickory Steakhouse for our anniversary one year. It was absolutely delicious. It's along the same lines as a Del Frisco's -- uber expensive! I LOVE CHEESE. They have this rolling cheese cart. Now, while I say I LOVE cheese, I'm NOT a cheese connoisseur by any means (as will soon be proven). The cheese person inquires if we would like to have an appetizer of fresh imported cheeses. I hadn't heard of most any of them. I gave this individual my preference -- but when she started explaining them with descriptive terms that I typically don't associate with cheese... it was just downright confusing. However, it being our anniversary and wanting to be a bit indulgent, I wanted to... well... indulge! I got the 4 cheese sample. It comes with some bread and crackers and such. So we are served this beautiful display of cheeses from who knows where (like I even remember). I go to taste the first... it's quite sharp but good. I taste the second... it's a little creamy so the texture is kind of odd. The third... is okay. Then it comes time for the fourth. Man oh man, I definitely didn't save the best for last. Literally I wanted to vomit right there at the table. It was THE MOST FOUL THING EVER. I can't believe people eat that $hit. Seriously, that is what I would imagine _hit tasting like -- that cheese!

So, what do I do immediately after trying to eat it and consequentially spitting it out while look somewhat civilized? I tell Andy -- TASTE THIS!

Why in the world do we -- as civilized human beings -- when something smells foul, tastes gross, looks disgusting -- immediately want someone else to be right down there in the thick of us with it? Perhaps it's to commiserate after the fact. But, alas, to answer the question, THAT CHEESE is THE most FOUL THING ANYONE could have ever eaten!

5. If you HAD to be a character on a TV show, whom would you be? I would be the mom on Home Improvement... since I have 3 boys and my husband is about as handy as he is! ha ha! :)

Thanks for taking the time to show some love. I had to turn the comment moderation back on for the asshats that feel it necessary to spam blogs. Sorry for the interruption.
