Same Sex Marriage in Public Schools

I guess I should start this with I AM a Christian woman and I AM tolerant of others and their beliefs. If their beliefs are different from mine, that's great. I don't hold anything against them. I feel no angst towards them. I do, however, become a mama bear when people try to force things upon MY CHILD without MY CONSENT. The implications of same-sex marriage is more than just giving someone equal rights... watch THIS video. I think that giving someone the right of a civil union for legal purposes... who cares, seriously. I know in my heart of hearts what is right and what is good and what the way is that God has chosen for man and woman. I also know and understand diversity...but WE as PARENTS have the right to direct our children's moral compass. Every Christian parent needs to see this... it's time we need to stand together and let our voices be heard.

Oh yeah, and I monitor my comments. Send me hate mail it will be deleted. I won't give you the time of day. :) La la la la... la la la la... April's World!

Well, my good friend...you have done it again. I was prepared to vote no because I really don't care if two people of the same gender want to get married. I really don't. Do whatever you want as long as you don't force it on me.
The fact that parents could lose their rights to say what their children are taught to believe pushed my buttons.
Why are they even broaching this in school. Teach the kids to read, write, do math and act human. It really isn't up to the school to teach them who can marry, when to have sex and which political party to belong to.
Too much has already been removed from our parents hands. If there is a possibility that failure of Prop 8 may take one more thing away from parents is too risky. I guess I am voting no now, thanks to you.
