...tied up with string... these are a few of my favorite things.
Today's topic: Introduce 3 blogs you read/frequent and tell why you enjoy them.
I'm a bit of a blog whore. I love blogs. I love the creativity out there that the internet has freed in everyone! So narrowing this down to THREE is going to be really hard....
Paleo On A Budget.
When I first was diagnosed with Crohn's and started researching a healthier lifestyle, the Paleo "diet" (not as in weightloss, but more of a LIFESTYLE was one that my doctor agreed with. So I stared with a book called It Starts With Food. After finishing that, I began researching Paleo blogs. Paleo on a Budget was one of the first Paleo blogs I followed and one of the first paleo cookbooks I purchased. Her photographs are vibrant and... let's face it... it makes me want a scratch-and-sniff screen! Liz, the blog owner is friendly, helpful and full of great recipes and advice.
Through The Front Door
I've followed Collette on Instagram for a while and I had NO IDEA she had a blog (hangs head in shame). Her decorating sense is just AMAZING. Have "known" her for a while because of a national scrapbooking group we were in. She has a beautiful soul and it transcends through her photos and blog. I want her to come decorate my entire home! She creates beautiful vignettes.
The Pioneer Woman
Ree is just awesome. She's real and wholesome and funny and her photographs are just phonemenal. I have two cookbooks and while she's not like... Bobby Flay, she's down home and the food is GOOD!
Why don't you take pause, contempate and then put yourself out there as well. Maybe you'll see what similar crazy randomness you have in common with the rest of the bloggers who have set forth on the November Blogathon hosted at the Mrs. and the Momma. #NovemberBlogathon
In line with the June Blog Challenge over at Paula's Place we are now brought to day 24...
Your favorite movie and what it's about.
I do believe that I have mentioned time and time and time and time and time again. I do not have favorites.
I do not limit myself for no reason to one specific anything because that... and that alone is the end-all-be-all of whatever the category may be. I refuse to have favorites.
I mean, you can't even compare something like Gladiator to Toombstone... or Bram Stoker's Dracula to Mel Gibson's Hamlet... or Open Range to Dumb and Dumber... IQ to Princess Bride... Die Hard to The Lorax... yet these are ALL in my category of favorite movieS (plural...see that "s" on there? Yeah, it's there for a reason! I don't pick favorites!)
I have more, but... ya know... I'm sure you've figured that out by now.
Day 5 - Favorite movie you never get sick of watching
(See plenty of other posts talking about "favorites".... how I have NONE) so be prepared for a list. :) Hee hee)
Open Range is a story of courage, love, perseverance friendship, trust ... plus... it's a western. I am not a huge fan of Costner or Duvall but in this movie, I love them both. Kevin Costner's character is just... well, he just makes me smile. The love story between he and Annette Bening is sweet and pure and innocent... Fighting against odds for what is right and just. I love westerns.
The Princess Bride is a movie I quote lines from on a weekly basis. It's endearing.
Goodfellas is such a great gangster flick. Joe Pecsi is such a jackass... you have to love him!
Back to the Future is such a fun movie for adults and kids. I love MJF. He's the boy next door.
While You Were Sleeping is a movie I HAVE watched over and over. I absolutely adore the characters' interactions. The dinner scene is one that we quote at my house with much regularity. "These mashed potatoes are so creamy."
Toombstone... where can you go wrong... Val Kilmer and Sam Elliott in a western? "I'm ya huckle bearer." Sexy.
IQ is an adorable romantic sit-com starring Walter Matthau as one of my favorite brains - Einstein. Meg Ryan is his niece and Tim Robbins is the love interest. It's just a fun, sweet, charming little movie that makes me smile.
Shawshank Redemption an amazing adaptation of the book... the movie is riveting.
Lord of the Rings -- any of them
...
and a gratuitous Viggo shot just because he's so damn sexy and .... sigh...
Harry Potter - any of them
Star Wars (original 3)
LOTS of kids movies.... The Incredibles, Finding Nemo, Cars, Open Season... among others
