Half Way There!

We're close to the half way point for this month's blog challenge at Paula's Place.  Today's topic:  Do a good deed for someone and tell us about it or tell us about a good deed done to you.  Link up here.

I'm not feeling too "good deedish" today.... but generally speaking, I try to go out of my way to do what I can for anyone... giving compliments freely when deserved (I love your hair... great shoes... what well behaved children... I love your outfit... etc.) because I don't think women hear enough positive affirmations on a daily basis.  As such, I have taken it upon myself to remove the uncomfortableness that comes with complimenting a total stranger and just let the words flow.

I've even been known to tell a complete stranger at the gym... "You know, I don't mean to sound like a creepy stalker chick that's hitting on you--but you've got a great ass!" Yes... yes I've said that.  She hugged me and said I just made her whole year!  My thought is that, if you're gonna work your ass off... you should at least be complimented on it!

Those are words.  When I do a good deed, I try to make sure that my children are witness to it... knowing that it's an act performed out of love for my fellow man that requires no attention, no thank you and no reciprocation.

I love you!!!! My husband and daughter sometimes get embarrassed because I compliment compete strangers. Women definitely need to hear more positive affirmations. Two weeks ago at the zoo I embarrassed Elexis by telling the guy giving us our food that he was "one good looking dude". His smile got so bright and he said thank you. I will also tell a good smelling man exactly that!! As if we didn't already have enough proof, yep we have to be twins separated!! Start checking your birth certificate. You are just my shorter twin!! haha

LOL...had to laugh about that, not something I would say or do, but had to be a real kodak moment.

I also compliment strangers and love doing it...it has to be sincere though. People sniff fake a mile away.
